Our soaps are made with milk from our purebred Nubian dairy goats. In fact, each bar contains 50% raw goat’s milk! They are handmade in small batches, cut and packaged. Each bar is unique and may vary in size, cut and color. Since we do not add color to our soap either artificially or naturally, they will be a tan color varying slightly in shade. Soaps with dried herbs or flowers, such as our Lavender Lace, Rosemary Mist and Romantic Rose will have a darker coloration.
While we have discontinued making goat’s milk soap due to our increased dairy workload, soap is still available in the Farm Store for purchase.
Why Buy Buffalo Gal’s Soaps?
Our ingredients are whole and pure. The goat’s milk comes from our own goats. Honey used in some of our recipes is raw and from Tyson Farm, a local North Carolina farm in Madison. Herbs included in the soaps are either grown on our farm or purchased at local farmer’s markets. Eggshells included in our Nitty Gritty soap for scrubbing power came from our own Golden Comet hens. We predominately use only natural 100% essential oils but do manufacture some soaps which include fragrance oil. When you use our soaps, you are getting the quality you expect with pure fresh ingredients.

Our soaps are for external use only. We strive to produce the highest quality products. However, some oils and essential oils may be irritating to sensitive skin or people with allergies. Purchase of this product affirms that the customer accepts all responsibility for the use of the product. Before bathing with any handmade soap, you should perform a skin test to ensure that you are not sensitive to any ingredients used in the soap. Apply the soap in a normal fashion to a small area on the inside of your upper arm. If you are sensitive to an ingredient in the soap, an irritation will occur. Should you experience any irritation, discontinue use.
